Introduction
Xiaoru (Ruby) Dong earned her PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Florida, where she worked under the guidance of Dr. Rhonda Bacher. She also holds a B.S. in Statistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Her research focuses on the intersection of biology and statistics. She develops statistical and computational tools for genomics and biomedical research, specializing in analyzing complex datasets, particularly human single-cell data from next-generation sequencing technologies. Her goal is to drive new biological discoveries and deepen our understanding of genomic processes through innovative, data-driven approaches.
